Centrum is an arts space in the district of Flughafenkiez in Neukölln, Berlin. We work with artists and musicians, experts and local people to create a programme of international forms of culture inspired by artists and the local neighbourhood.

Our programme is split into three seasons per year. Each season has a loose theme or feel to it and artists and musicians work on their own or together to create something in the space. Each year, three international or local artists to stay in the Project Room and talks, events and workshops for people with different experiences of cultural activities offer opportunities for involvement.

Centrum is run by Kate Squires and David Moynihan

David Moynihan
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

David Moynihan was born to Irish parents in Coventry and studied urban regeneration in Leeds and Nottingham. While working as an academic in Nottingham, David co-authored published work, including a Joseph Rowntree Foundation study on the impact of Government inner city interventions on ethnic minority communities. He went on to lead European Commission and Government-funded schemes in London. David has written contributions for i-D magazine, Socialist Review and The Wire amongst others. He is also the Treasurer of The Eel Collective- a community arts organisation whose activities include an annual 2-day live music festival on Vyner Street, Hackney, London and the production of The Eel, a quarterly community-access fanzine.
